If they can improve in certain areas and start to gel, they can be 70% of what last season's OL was.

QB's scramble and run and get flushed and then suddenly you have replays of history a la Croyle and Wilson running for their lives. Of course, the obligatory fans who don't know what an offensive line is always blame the QB.

One season Wilson had a decent OL. One season Wilson had a good W/L record.

I am only hoping that more running lanes can be opened and more pressure can be taken off of McElroy. He isn't ready to put the game on his shoulders and may not be that type of QB at all. He may need a team to help him.

Agreed. I hope that VT's D was just that tough, but the OL has got to gel a little more before our conference schedule starts. Vlachos needs to work on that single hand shotgun snap too. He bowled a few back there...

Right, let's just hope that the low balls can be attributed to starting game jitters.

overall i think they did pretty good for their first game against a good D. the pass blocking i was surprised to see so good. the run blocking needs some love, but i think part of that is the timing of the handoff and the speed of the RB at the line.

the center needs to get the ball up.
