My question to this would be, "what appeals to the 'general public' bout 30 for 30 espisodes on ESPN?" I'd say few of them were only watched by their fan base. Just this week we saw the Pacers player reenact the Reggie Miller "choke" against the Knicks. The last time I looked it was in the top 10 of 30 for 30's
I'm not an NBA, Miller, or Knicks fan. But, I'd watch it if I came across the episode. OJ is up there...bit of a different story. Coach V.
It's a "doc" It's not going to get much publicity because of its genre. It's akin to the FoxNation thing on The ties that bind or whatever that was called.
I'm think rival fans will watch this...just to satiate their hereditary hatred of all things Bama.
