Doesn't bother me either. Multiple people have said that Bryant wanted black players far before he was able to actually bring them in and just felt the 'time wasnt right' due to the ignorant feelings that many still had around here.

yeah i saw that. This predates me considerably. iknew some about the story but vert little. didn't know about the lawsuit or the FBI.
Kinda rubbed me the wrong way....I saw it on Fox Sport.com. Big head line about Bama being #1 in all poles.
then @ the bottom of site had this mud to sling @ us. It's kinda like givingyour woman a nice gift, telling her how much you love her, and how beautiful she is....then for no reason @ all you punch her in the face.
Well that's sorta what this is like.

Being a card carrying member of the OFC I remember John Mitchell and Wilbur Jackson very well as players. There was no noise at the time about the lawsuit, and it was dismissed because the remediation it sought had already been achieved.

The FBI may well have been involved because Hoover was one paranoid, sneaky SOB who had files on many famous people.
