šŸˆ "Nick Saban has a moral obligation to name a starting quarterback..." --Barrett Sallee

i'm sorry (not really)....but does this guy pay the Coache's salary?
does he support the athletic department?
does he support the football department?
does he support the school in any way, shape, or form?
does he have any type of interest, monetary or otherwise, in The University of Alabama (football or otherwise)?

i didn't think so. so what the business is it of his Coach Saban hasn't named a starting quarterback yet? he needs to keep his mouth shut (impossible for his type) and worry about his own world.

Couldn't an argument be made that the QB that isn't the starter would owe it to the university to NOT transfer? I mean we did spend time/energy in recruiting and coaching the kid. We do need a backup in case of injury...

As usual, the guy is just running his trap. You want an argument? As a fan he wants one of the guys to transfer. If not, he's looking at what could be the best QB depth in college football.

What he's chosen to ignore (and by ignore I mean he hasn't bothered even asking, looking, or researching) is what these guys have been doing over the off season leading up to spring camp.

Let's jump back to last summer for a second...we're talking about Mac and what's the consensus among us fans? He needs weight. I've learned he's put on close to 20 lbs and is around the 200 mark.

With Jalen we've talked about his struggles on reading defenses. Where's he been? Doing A LOT of film work studying defenses. Tua, on the other hand, has been working on his S&C and reportedly has shed a few pounds which has resulted in him being more mobile, quicker.

All three on campus are doing exactly what they should be doing. But, according to Sallee...it's not right.

OKAY...

All this trouble with the QBs and whose going to start.... and here I was worrying about who our damn kicker is going to be. Glad we have these sports writer gurus guiding us on priorities. :eyeroll:

Expect a lot of talking heads to say such?.to create controversy....
But aint nobody going to tell Nick what to do.....
And I don’t look for nick to name a starting QB....
But the team will know..the QBs will know...but we wont..

I don't think so. I think there are VERY, VERY few people, talking head or otherwise, will make an argument that a head coach owes it to a player to name a starter before he's ready to, and I dont think there is a single person that has any football knowledge whatsoever that can think objectively that would argue otherwise. This guy proved pretty clearly he can't think objectively.

That is discounting the idea that both could have a serious role during the season. Frankly, I don't know how appealing that is to either QB at this point, but I'm sure that is primarily the reason coach Saban brought up the idea to start with. Otherwise one or the other will leave if that isn't enough.

We can watch n see....but controversy is the name of the game for the mouthpieces...watch...when spring is over...it will start...

Well, Tua hurt his thumb and is being sent to Birmingham for further evaluation, probably at Andrews office. So that may help decide something. Hopefully it is not very serious though and we can get back to arguing who should start.
