If the Commish wanted to he could replay the game. But then he would be without a job the next year! Bad called in both game. Funny thing is that the two team winning Sunday got the better end of the deal!
This "commish could replay the game if he wanted" thing is getting spread around but its just not true. No. 1, the rule that is being cited also says (and these click bait reporters are leaving this part out) that a full investigation must be done by the commissioner, including the ability for hearings and appeals by those involved, before an action that drastic can be taken. There is no chance of that happening between now and the Super Bowl (unless they postpone the Super Bowl, which is DEFINITELY not happening). No. 2, the NFL rule book also says that any type of human error or judgement call by an official cannot simply be overturned after the fact by the commissioner. This is also something those clickbait sites aren't talking about.
