🏈 Next Year's O-Line?

It Takes Eleven

I was beginning to ponder next year's O-line and thoughts on whether it will a strength, serviceable or a liability.

It's been a conclusion in mind that Fluker would not be back next year; however, I'm hearing his draft status is starting to come into question because of upside potential (mainly quickness concerns). Is his departure a certainty? Similarly, I understand Steen's status has been rising throughout the year, and I was assuming he would be back - what's the likelihood he goes?

Assuming Fluker goes and Steen stays, a logical assumption would have Steen and the Kouandjio brothers on the 2013 line. Who else? Do some of 2's get moved around to put the best players on the field? Kelly? Williams?

RTR,

Tim

I've only paid attention when I thought about it late in the game and that hasn't been a lot.

If I were to guess?

CK, Steen, Kelly, AK, Williams.

Shepard and Lindsey being the two to keep an eye on during bowl practices.

I'm not sold on Fluker being a first round this year. He has given up quite a few sacks. I'd be shocked to see anybody but B Jones & C Warmack going high on the boards.

Kiper had Warmack as #1 OL entering the draft. I haven't seen Jones in his top 5 this year though I assume he'll test well at the combine and still be a 1st rounder. He's a damn good player.

Leon Brown, a juco tackle, is among our commits. The conventional wisdom is that you don't sign a juco unless you expect him to play right away. That being said, I would put him in the mix, as a RT.
