🏈 New to town...

Heh. Some do, some don't. It's all good. How you been, man?

Just being a smart ass.

You've heard the expression "Living a dream?"

That pretty well sums up life as a Bama fan right now! Heck, we're looking for things to complain about now, aren't we?

And, I have to add, it's fun to sit back and laugh at a few programs that have been thorns in our sides in recent memory, no?

Yep. It's like growing up all over again. I keep telling my wife, a converted Boston College grad, this is how it was when I was a kid. Enjoy it while it lasts cause you just never know. Plus, living in Florida, it's so nice to hear the relative silence that has befallen the Gator fans. :biggrin_blue:

I completely understand...'cept for the wife thing. :icon_twisted:

Gators silenced by Cardinals. Who woulda thunk it? Absolutely has to be embarrassing for that sect.

You're among them so answer this.

Are you sold on Muschamp as having the "chops" to handle Gainesville? I'm still holding on to a lot of skepticism. But, that said, I'm beginning to want to put him in the Les Miles category—don't see how he does it, but he does it.

Ya know, they haven't completely warmed up to him yet, that's for sure. I think a lot of people, myself included, were underwhelmed when they announced the hire. And the first year, I mean, dude was crazy on the sidelines. They saw the same thing we did this time, which was totally different than their reaction with all of Urban's crazy. So even with the year they had last year, the jury is still out. I have no idea what to expect from them this year. No idea.

And speaking of the Cards...I always thought Strong deserved a shot long before he got it. I never bought into the "bad interview" stuff. But what do I know.

I don't understand, or believe, all the stories about Charlie Strong either.

Love him or hate him, Lou Holtz was a fan of Strong to the point he's been a vocal supporter of Strong on more than one occasion. That not mentioning the point Holtz has hired him twice—Notre Dame and UofSC. And then there's Meyer and Spurrier to boot.

To put it mildly, Strong certainly paid his dues to get a shot as a HC.

A lot of people haven't mentioned the fact that Muschamp's first year reminded me a lot of Saban's first year. I am yet to see CNS as animated as he was his first year here. I think the first years are the most frustrating for coaches because the majority of players weren't recruited by them.

Dunno, just an observation.

But Saban doesn't have cuckoo eyes.
