I'll update this post as the next few days go on...here's what I've noticed you may want to check out.
_________________________________________________________________
•••The post counts transferred over. BUT, you'll see where it says "New Member" under your avatar. I've not had a chance to get into that and I won't for a few days. HOWEVER, area is also something you can customize. So, make it whatever you'd like it to be.

Place your cursor on your username (top, right corner of the screen underneath the picture in the header) and select "Personal Details." Fill in the blanks.

•••In personal messages (Inbox) the phrase reads "Leave Conversation." I'll change that later on, but that's how you delete any conversation you've had via PM's. You'll notice that the PM's read like threads—in other words the entire conversation you're having with someone will remain...your replay just adds a new message to the conversation.

@alabama mike If you want to walk through this...

AT the top of the page, right side in the top toolbar, you'll see your username. Placing your cursor on your username will open your account menu. Click on Avatar > Browse > Select the file > and you're on your way...

Just one (semi negitive) observation; we're a football school and we have a sub forum for "Basketball" and "Alabama Sports," which would make since if we were Duke. Why wouldn't Football have it's own sub forum?

The import of all the data brings everything over from the old platform, in the order and set up as we had it.

There's an option which will allow an All-Sports page, and then individual pages. However, before I get into setting that up there's a quite a few things we need to get built to prepare for that.

I saw the modification for the All-/Threads (which would be all-sports here), which feeds forums like I mentioned earlier, but I'll have to find it again. When we do find it, we'll have to figure out how it works before we implement it here as well.

I'm hoping what I'm envisioning will work. Hoping! I just need time to get to that. While I'm not asking for sympathy here, understand I spent at least 12 hours yesterday with the majority of the time spent on the way this forum works. There's still issues here and I'm just getting into setting up the news feeds. All the while Lance is working on stuff as well as you can see in some of the non-sports forums and stuff you can't see on the back-end. I'm lucky enough to have taken some vacation time to play around...Lance is still working his FT job while doing this.

Anywho...we're doing this in the off-season so we'll have everything ready to go when we get to fall camp. It won't take that long, but we'll get there. Believe you me, I personally had a few "oh shit" moments yesterday...hoping not to repeat those. (fingers crossed, knocking on wood, kicking the neighbors barking mutt, etc.)

You've heard the expression, "measure twice, cut once?" I've not seen anyone have a forum set-up the way we're doing this one anywhere within the Xenforo family—so in some areas we're operating without a tape measure, so to speak.
