Finally got the jersey of my favorite player since I became an Alabama fan. Hunted this bad boy down for a while and saved enough to finally get it. Yeldon was a ton of fun to watch, rarily took big contact, and did something no one else ever did, rush for 1,000 yards in their Freshman and Sophomore years, and norrowly missed 1,000 for a third straight year by like 30 damn yards if I'm not mistaken.

I can't seem to remember how to post a damn picture without a link here.

Game worn? How much did you have to throw out for that?

That's awesome!! Congrats! A game worn jersey is something I eventually want to splurge on for my fan room (my fiance has resigned himself to the fact that we will someday have a separate, hopefully soundproof room for me).

You mentioned "since you became an Alabama fan" .. When/how did that happen? Just curious :-)

I really love Yeldon too, glad he had a solid first season in the bigs but I hope he gets used more in his third.

I grew up a Georgia fan my entire life. I lived a fun and partying life my first couple of years at Georgia Southern, transferred back home to go to school in Atlanta at Kennesaw State University for academic reasons, got married, had a kid, and simply realized I wanted and needed more in life. I looked at SEC schools to transfer to (lifetime dream to go to a big SEC school), knew some friends that went to Alabama and loved it. Did some research and saw they had a great Accounting program and the Business School was on the up and up with renovations, donations, and things of that nature, so I applied, got accepted, moved my wife and kid to Tuscaloosa, bought a house, and became a fan while researching the school and ultimately going and graduating from. I still catch crap from a few of my friends that tell me I was a Georgia fan for 23 years of my life, and now an Alabama one so how could I turn cold on Georgia, but it was so freaking easy the way Tuscaloosa wrapped it's arms around us and gave us some of the best memories we'll ever have. The school and community are amazing and I cannot see myself not sending my kids here or ever not having a connection to the town. I was baptized in Tuscaloosa, and made some great friends. So it was quiet easy to drop the Dawgs due to my new connection, which began back in Summer of 2011.
