Noting AJ's 290 yards and 3 TDs in the latest scrimmage, and ESPN says the "offense clicked", I have to say that it made me smile.

We may have lost some talent on the Defensive side of the ball, but that was still against Nick Saban's players and most are heavy contributers to a Defense that was #1 in every category short of aiding Girl Scouts with cookie sales.

We could have dominated there too but Jesse Williams being Australian...he just did not grasp the concept of this uniquely American cultural tradition soon enough. This just in. Coach Saban has already convince them to make a Vegemit cookie (modled after the Snicker Doodle...calling it the "Nicker Doodle"), so we should be breaking records next year.

Terry, I hope to the Good Lord that you are not referencing the last O line that came through and named themselves that. The 2000 O-line came up with that nugget and underwhelmed us to the tune of 3-9. I know that I am comparing apples and oranges, but still........bad memories.

I sure hope there isn't a "slump" on the middle of the season like there has been in the past few years. Idk if any of you remember but during that 09 campaign our offense wasn't the same during a stretch Ole Miss-LSU and the '10 offense didn't really pan out the way it should have. Last year was really the only year I remember were our offense had consistent play (exception of LSU loss).

Alot of it during the '09 stretch had to do with fatigue and also Greg McElroy (new starter) having a bit of a slump in the middle of the year but I def. wouldnt call the LSU game an offensive slump, didnt we put up like 500 yards in that game... against a top 10 defense? u would call that a SLUMP? I seem to recall the offense putting that one away (Julio's 70 yard catch and run) too. '10's defense was extremely young and inexperienced (much like this coming up years will be).

Redzone woes would be what I'm trying to say. Sorry :crushed:
