The NCAA Playing Rules oversight panel has approved a change to overtime rules in football, the organization announced in a Thursday release. Teams will be required to run a 2-point conversion play after a touchdown when a game reaches a second overtime period. Previously, a 2-point attempt was required after the third overtime period. The rule was proposed last month

"Also, if the game reaches a third overtime, teams will run alternating 2-point plays, instead of starting another drive at the opponent’s 25-yard line," the release read. "This is a change from the previous rule, which started to use 2-point plays in the fifth overtime period.

Saw someone comment that they should put the ball at the 45, 1:30 on the clock, 1 timeout. I actually like that idea a lot. Right now they are still in field goal range at the start and have all the clock time in the world.

Yeah.....agree...
But CF is still better than nfl....
Dont like the "all possessions are 2 point"
But they didnt ask me...

Anything is better than NFL rules. I prefer requiring 2 point on all OT TD but not the alternating 2 point tries. I would rather they start at the 25 with first and goal after 2nd overtime.
