🏈 New Helmets

Did Alabama get a new type of helmet this year. I noticed a ridge on the helmet about where the spine meets the skull and holes that don't look familiar. Did they get a new style or have I just missed them before?

its just those helmets that are supposed to reduce the possibility of concussion.

The one Julio was wearing was a Ridell Revolution Speed helmet. Ridell has 3 helmets and the speed helmet is the top of the line.

I see. That's the one I noticed, but I didn't realize they wore some different ones. Thanks for the info.

The Revolution helmet is becoming more common. Most WR/RB's wear them. I have started to see alot of linemen and LBs also wearing them.

Like someone said above they are supposed to help reduce concussions.
