🏈 New deal with Fox puts Cotton Bowl in prime time

i'm not sure what to think about this game being at Jerry World - i think the new stadium is impressive no doubt, but not sure it's worth $1b+

The city of Dallas just dropped like $50m in upgrades to the Cotton Bowl (92k cap) just last year.

it sucks in my opinion. I don't know how many of you have been to the Cotton Bowl before, but it was a damn nice stadium, with some really good seats close to the field.

I couldn't agree more man. I noticed the expansion by TV on the Cotton Bowl Stadium last year and still don't understand the move. It's a beautiful and legendary venue for college football, but well, I guess contract reasons worth a lot of more than its pageantry...

RTR,

One would think that the city of Dallas would have gotten a long term contract with the Cotton Bowl before spending that kind of money.

I went to the 1982 Cotton Bowl game against Texas. Have been in very few stadiums, if any, that I was more uncomfortable. Chairback seating had replaced bench seating with a terrible result. The seatbacks were practically touching the seats in each row upward.
