Anybody beside me at The Denny in 62 to see Little George Mira and The Cannes? The game was near zip to zip at the half and then Coach Bryant e jerked a knot in some azzzz's starting the 3rd qtr. Bama won going away.

Bama went to South Beach in 63 without Joe Willie and beat Little George again. Jackie Sherrill had a great game that day and the defense was outstanding.

Honestly....i don’t know how Clemson wasnt in the #1 seat....
Bama has 3 starters back on D....3......
D wins championships...I remember hearing all my life....

I think most coaches feel that while we may lack some returning starters on defense, we rotate so many that it doesn't matter. Also, our offense may simply just outscore you with Tua at the helm and simply run you off the field like Jerry Tarkanian and his early 90's Running Rebels at UNLV.

You remember the store The Fruit Basket where the Winn-Dixie in in CottonDale (not sure if that fits but The Jungle Clubs was right across the street). I recall Pop stopping for a 6 of Cold Beers way back then.
