🏈 Never tweet, right? Saban explains why phone was confiscated

Good lord folks ... read the replies on that tweet

Just goes to show the different dynamic in this country where you find folks that see it as a crime and others that see it as discipline. Folks just look for something to bitch and whine about, a few on here that love to tell you that's not blue, it's sky blue. They wake up every day for stuff like this. Once again, social media continuing to make society dumb and dumber.

What was the issue?

I can't say for sure, but it seems to me there's a big difference in taking pictures and tweeting stuff overheard on the sideline. At that moment, the words are still way too fresh in the guy's mind.

As a (silly) aside, we can't let Cochran leave Tuscaloosa, so science needs to clone him and send the clone to the White House!

I don't think it had anything to do with a tweet or relaying something heard on the sidelines. The kid looks like a player who didn't dress for the game. If so, they aren't supposed to be texting, tweeting, calling during the game. If they're on the sideline, they should be rooting for the team, nothing else.
I see it the same way, if he can't play or be suited up. Then he shouldn't be on that phone. He should be cheering his teammate on to victory!!

Looks like at the end of the clip you see the guy holding a camera...so reporter?

My guess would be no. There are reporters and other members of the media surrounding sidelines using cameras/phones/etc. and no one says anything. The guy looks like hes wearing a Bama hat/shirt, too. Media aren't supposed to wear any team gear.

There is no cell phones on the sideline rule. Keeps NCAA and SEC from accusing of cheating, stealing plays exc. Even if you are a "reporter"....which i think this kid is not a real reporter but a school paper/photographer maybe Crimson and White. He is wearing all Bama gear and has a professional camera in his right hand. He knows better than to have a cell phone out on the sideline. Kid might loose his job over this. Saban and coaching staff don't play. That's why Cochran snatched and put in his pocket quickly. Kid didnt even argue or complain. Kids now a days phone=life. Anyone snatches your $700.00 phone that's a fight. Kid didn't even flinch. He knows he was busted.

This is 100% false. They even give you a "guideline" packet of all the rules and such when at your station in the press box. There is no rule about that and reporters are only allowed on the sidelines for the final 8 minutes of the game and before the game.
