I'm surprised this took until Thursday to hear.

Does it really matter? The last time we played was 1982. Even I barely remember that one. Most of our players weren't even a thought yet. Heck, most of their parents were probably still in high school or college themselves.

I just don't think stats such as this have ever defined this team. :a:

No stats like this have ever defined ANY team. It's not a factor, just as Saban not having won at aubrun, or any streak contributing to the next year's game.

It's filler time for the papers and pundits until the games get here.

What if Alabama had played another major Divison I opponent and had never lost to that team? Then, Bama was scheduled to play them in a bowl. That's pretty big from a fan's perspective. That little bit of trivia needs to be altered. I wouldn't begrudge the Texas fans from mentioning it though.

I think the fact would have some relevance if say those 8 games had all been played within the past 10-15 years. Let them use what they must to convince themselves they will win.

It's just filler as stated before. If Ingram goes on the win the Heisman we'll be hearing about his dad and what's going on with him for the next two weeks as well.

Well Bama had never beaten Notre Dame until I went to a little game at Legion in 1986. Thats right it was all because of me. LOL! :rofl:

So I will be in Pasadena so maybe Rolando can have his own Daniel Moore print after this game.

And FWIW there are a few other teams Bama has never beaten.

I was a little concerned about being such a favorite in the media. If this continues and if the media also buys into it - it will work in the Tide's favor, IMHO.

Coach Bryant never beat Notre Dame, either. But, that didn't stop Cornelius Bennett from laying a hellacious hit on Steve Beuerlein to cause a fumble and seal our only win over the Irish. Beuerlein says he's never been hit that hard before or since.
