🏈 Nebraska could be looking for a new HC

Bo Pelini said some pretty stupid things that got recorded and are coming out after almost 2 years. USC / Texas / Nebraska looking in the same year...gonna be a bumpy road for the schools they swipe from.

Nebraska Chancellor and AD have released statements and Bo Pelini just did as well.

Harvey Perlman, Chancellor:"I am aware of the publication of Coach Pelini's comments, I am disappointed and in discussions with Shawn Eichorst about addressing the issue."

Shawn Eichorst, Director of Athletics:
“I am disheartened and disappointed by the 2011 comments published today attributed to Coach Pelini about our dedicated and passionate fans and supporters. I have spoken with Chancellor Perlman and I have addressed the situation with Bo and expressed our deep concern."


Nebraska Head Coach Bo Pelini also issued the following statement.
“I want to sincerely apologize for my comments from two years ago which became public today. I take full responsibility for these comments. They were spoken in a private room following the Ohio State game. I was venting following a series of emotional events which led to this moment. That being said, these comments are in no way indicative of my true feelings. I love it here in Nebraska and feel fortunate to be associated with such a great University and fan base. I again apologize to anyone whom I have offended.”

Coaching search is all about timing. Now is not the time for Nebraska to go coach searching. I think that Texas will get first dibs on the best coach out there (whomever that is) and I honestly think that USC would get the better coach if he has a choice between Nebraska/USC. Bottom line, there are not a lot of hot names out there that are looking to move up per se'. Bobby Petrino will probably get snatched up. I know realistic Texas fans are saying that Muschamp is on their short list. Smart's name always gets thrown around. Who else am I missing. I know Willie Taggart was being touted a lot last year at WKU. Where did he go USF??? I don't even know how they are doing.

On a side note, I think it is pretty crappy that he is being dragged through the mud for something that was 2 years ago. That is Paula Deenish. Granted the fans are fickle and he said what most coaches have said or feel, but I think it is bush league for it to get leaked now, probably in hopes of getting him fired.
