GAME THREADS-

Welp. Hrmmph. Dayum.

Wear these shoes for a minute. You're a Kentucky basketball fan and you've traveled to Indy to watch the 'Cats play Duke. Now, you're walking out of the arena; humiliated.

Ouch. Look out college hoops: Duke is just getting started

Florida lost to a ranked FSU last night on the road by 21. I wouldn't make much of it yet--learning trip in my opinion. I'm not trying to throw shade on FSU this year. I've got a suspicion about them this year.

Duke team was insane. The big kid, #1, that weighs 285 and has a 45" vertical got lots of attention pre-game, but RJ Barrett was the story. They were shooting the lights out and making it look super easy again UK. But I will say, Kentucky was way off shooting the ball, at least while I watched the first half. They missed 6 of first 7 free throws from what I remember, including the front of a 1 and 1. Missed their first 5-6 3's. Reminded me of the Rockets in that game 7 against the Warriors. But Duke was going to beat them either way. Going to be fun to watch for one year.

Penny Hardaway has been getting a lot of publicity in his short tenure at Memphis. I've suspected a lot of it is due to his AAU teams and their success. I've also suspected the media may be jumping the gun a bit when it comes to what he can do there in such a short period of time. In a sense, it's about like the way we've seen some treat Tom Herman and Scott Frost in CFB.

LSU looks to have a pretty good ball team this season. And while it's still early in the season I have to question if there's something that should be made of this.

**On an unrelated note, Timme commits this morning at 8.**

I caught a glimpse of a graphic on Sportscenter this morning that pointed to the number of losses suffered while ranked #1 in the AP Poll.

In the world of "that's pulling a statistic out of your ass" category it did make me stop and think for a minute.

The most losses coaching a team ranked number one in the AP Poll. It was Coach coach K and there was a pretty sizable difference in first and second place. Sizable now, against the likes of Rupp, and Dean Smith.
