The why behind these decisions I just simply do not get. Only thing I can think of is either political or $$. But how much more $$ could expanding to 72-76 teams really be?

Is CBS going to pay the NCAA more money to broadcast four or eight more games?
Do you think there will be more viewers for the teams that are in that 72 field versus what it is now?
Which leads me to ask, who really watches the first round game of the #1 seed?
How often do the broadcast stations switch games during these blowouts?
I've not seen 1 literal fan who wants this. Which is funny since most wanted expanded playoffs in football (and many still want it expanded further). I know there are major differences, but just goes to show you, you give and inch, they take a yard (yes I know the NCAA and the CFP are different entities). But this doesn't happen if the other didn't.
in all sports we have the blue bloods, the really good teams, the middle of the road teams and the ones who ride the struggle bus on a consistent basis. The only teams that have a legitimate chance of winning a National Championship are the traditional powers and really good teams. Why water down the tournaments with more lackluster teams? MONEY!
