But we have to make it happen! We got to do this people!

Got this from another forum.

This year EA is going to have a vote for who with grace the cover of NCAA 11. The voting will run March 7 - April 4 on Facebook. The players in the running are:

Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray
Alabama running back Mark Ingram,
Washington quarterback Jake Locker.
Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley

Here is a little about it: http://www.pastapadre.com/2011/03/02/the-four-ncaa-football-12-cover-candidates

Very very very very very interesting... no Cam Newton... But it doesn't matter b/c I don't believe this one bit, actually it's probably one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of... a vote for who will be on the cover of NCAA 12 on Facebook???

You've never heard of a major company polling on Facebook...? Really?

Yeah, it is legit. I kind of liked it when they would do a different player on the cover for each system. They could also do all of them, or perhaps the top two, it isn't like it increases production costs.

I'm not thrilled about Cam not being mentioned but it doesn't really shock me given all the talk and such this year.

I liked it too. Gave a pretty great honor to many deserving players instead of one. I'm not going to lie though, I'm happy Cam isn't in consideration, only because it would kill me to own something with an Auburn player prominently displayed on it. I'd HAVE to get a custom cover if that were the case.

I have no doubt they are "polling" people, but I know that they are not leaving the decision of who will be on the cover to who wins a facebook poll, sir. On the other hand, by having this poll they are getting the word out for NCAA 12 (not '11, as you said in the actual text of your original post) and they are making the game more popular by getting the fans and actual players of the game involved.... So with this poll, while they tell people that they are letting the people decide, that is most likely not the poll's actual purpose.

It wasn't me who called it '11...at least I don't remember doing it. I might have made the mistake and edited my post, but surely you're not THAT smug to feel the need to correct me now if I had already fixed it myself; so if you're going to be smarmy about something like that, at least do it to the correct person. And yes, this is a poll to decide who will be on the cover. Why on Earth would they even make this poll otherwise? You think they are that desperate to make this staple game slightly more popular as to lie about something like this? It makes no sense. They have no need to stoop to something like this to make an already solid fanbase aware of an annually released game.

But, if that's what you feel the need to convince yourself of, I guess you're free to do that.

Mr. Rev was the OP. Just for the record. Easy enough mistake to make, I knew what he meant.
