McElroy was never a guy I have ever questioned to be a homer. I almost feel he has tried so hard over the years to prove otherwise it's actually annoying. So no, I can't understand him picking Alabama because he played here based off my experience listening to him. That being said, you can't tell a Georgia fan anything, so they probably believe it.
