💬 My first pet peeve of the offseason. I'm not the only one pissed about it.

Isn't a pet peeve something that annoys you?

Perhaps Terry is concerned with all the media hand-wringing over our running back group this year.

Concerned isn't the right word, Tim. Slightly annoyed?

So the pet peeve is the media! Got it.

I can understand a little skepticism with the quarterback position even though there are two years of examples demonstrating success. The QB position is a different animal.

But running backs? I like Marcus Spears a lot on SECN. His reasoning for picking LSU—aside from loyalty to his school—doesn't appear to boil down to what LSU has but more on him thinking what Bama hasn't proved with the RB's this season. Unproven? Yes, they are. Is that a reason to be skeptical about whether the Tide will get production from that position this season?

IF they'd had a bad year over the last decade, OK. But, under Burns, they haven't.

Remind me again what LSU's done with the QB position since Mr I'm gonna win the Heisman twice had his problems. Hell, they can't even manage to find a "game manager". They've been a QB away from MNC's for the last decade...

I think the other contributing factor is that it is so hard to win the conference once, but twice? Three times in a row? Odds say it won't happen. Reality says, Alabama has Saban.

Which leads me to ask, "why not just say so?" I don't have any issue with someone saying "the odds don't favor Bama." Pointing to a position, especially one where there is a track record of success, just doesn't compute.

It's a talking heads program. "Three times in a row?" isn't a lot of talking.
