Remembering from years bacK: Terry Bowden ran his mouth a lot when he arrived at Auburn, and flush with a treasure trove of players left behing by Pat Dye, he got away with it for a while. But his own recruiting did not measure up, and his teams declined every year. Eventually the Auburn power brokers pulled the plug on him. His "jack jawing" no longer played well when his team was not winning.

Kiffin has written some pretty big checks with his mouth during this off season period. Most of us doubt that his team will be able to cash them.

One would have thought LT had learned something about humility during his stint with the Raiders.
