💬 Morgan Wallen concert in BDS this Saturday night...

There's a good bit of excitement around town for this... honestly, feels a little bit like the lead up to a big SEC game in the fall. I'm sure tomorrow traffic will mirror that, and Saturday for sure. Love the guy or hate him (I'm personally indifferent), he brings a crowd. And yes, expect more events like this in the future as UA athletics get a piece of the financial pie. Keepin' up with the Joneses

With all the crap the AP Style has instituted over the years it's disappointing there's not a font for sarcasm or a question mark that signifies rhetorical.

(I literally received a letter from a division of Humana where a sentence was in ALL CAPS. And yes, the tone was yelling...if we have that, and it's understood ...

... at least they were yelling about the Doctor.)

My mind took a bit of a trip when I saw that post.

Kashus ... NIL event? Checks notes. Okay.
Culpepper in Tuscaloosa. Checks notes. That wasn't okay last time.
And NIL event that's a concert. Checks notes. Welp. It ain't pizza on a Saturday night.

I've never heard of him until seeing that post on X.

"Alabama Beauty Queen."

That's one way to see Portland without interacting with nut cases.

I'd never heard the name Kashus Culpepper. I'm couldn't tell you a Morgan Wallen song; even if I heard one.

Geez...realized it's been more than two years since I've listened to music on a radio station.
Listen to XM in vehicles ( subscriptions are 4$/month now) and alexa while chilling

But with @Secondand26
I don't know.... dont care.... wouldn't listen to any "modern " country
Put a Patsy Cline CD on and Im all ears

I believe we had WSGN on, accidentally, playing oldies and we listened a while in the past month. Otherwise, my wife is an XM listener and I still stream the free version of Pandora through my phone in the truck and golf cart and through the app on the TV in the home. I told myself that I was going to buy the ad-free Pandora/Spotify/Apple Music to develop playlists, but I've thumbed up/down my stations enough that they play what I like. Looking at my recent stations, I'm Turnpike Troubadours, Chris Stapleton, The Dead South, Trampled by Turtles, KIDZ BOP Kids (for the grandkids), Mamas & Papas (for the wife), The Guess Who (for us both, has a heavy mix of America in it), Robert Earl Keen, then Andy Williams, so I know that was Christmas.

I've listened to less than a half dozen podcast episodes, most were Murdaugh related. They're just too slow for me, it's like listening to an episode of Dateline.
