The Crimson Tide’s total includes Olympians, NCAA Champions, All-Americans, Academic All-Americans and an MLB pitcher


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – More than 30 Crimson Tide student-athletes are slated to take part in commencement at The University of Alabama this weekend. The Tide's tally includes an NCAA champion, an Olympian, six All-Americans, three CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 15 members of the football program as well as an MLB pitcher.

Alabama's football graduates include All-Americans Isaiah Buggs, Ross Pierschbacher and Jonah Williams as well as Lester Cotton Sr., Damien Harris, Jalen Hurts, Anfernee Jennings and Christian Miller. Other members of the Tide's 2017 national championship squad set to earn their degrees are Elliot Baker, Joshua Casher, Miller Forristall, Derek Kief, Jamar King, Donavan Mosley and Ryan Parris. Casher, Kief, Miller and Pierschbacher are receiving their master's degrees.

Also set to walk across the stage Saturday, just across the street from Sewell-Thomas Stadium where he played his college ball, is Seattle Mariners pitcher and former Crimson Tide standout Wade LeBlanc, 12 years after embarking on his pro career. Baseball's Hunter Alexander, Dylan Duarte, Brock Love and Kyle Kaufman are also graduating this semester, with Alexander receiving his master's degree.

All-American swimmer and 2016 Olympian Christopher Reid and track and field NCAA champion, All-American and Academic All-American Quanesha Burks will both receive their diplomas on Saturday.

Two additional Academic All-Americans, Emma Welch (soccer) and Leah Lawrence (volleyball), are graduating this weekend. A two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American, Welch earned her undergraduate and master's degree simultaneously, while Lawrence is adding a master's to her resume.

All-American Domonique Williams (track and field), Academic All-District honoree Rachel Bobo (softball), Olivia Fotopolou (track and field), Smith Hinton (tennis), Cat Jorgensen (soccer), Christina Maartensson (soccer) and Paige Matherson (swimming and diving) are also set to graduate on Saturday.

Current basketball standouts Donta Hall, Dazon Ingram and Amber Richardson will also be on the floor of their home arena Saturday picking up their degrees.

Who was it that said Jock were stupid? Never met Coach Saban and his players! Just wondering does any of you guys know just how many players have walked across the stage? Congrats to all that walking today!
 
Very awesome. Congratulations to all these graduates. Outside of a few moments in life, walking across that stage will be the most special that you'll never forget when looking back on your life and accomplishments. Roll Tide Graduates!
