šŸˆ More Ingram Heisman Talk

"Mark is a great football player," wide receiver Julio Jones said. "He doesn't have to apologize to anybody. We wouldn't be where we are without him."

Pretty Classy statement...and very true. While I consider myself to be a fan of Tebow....I dont see him as a serious Heisman contender this year..Fact are this...if this was his 1st, 2nd. or 3rd year..he probably doesnt even get mentioned with his numbers...but with a couple of NC wins..he will get the nod from alot of voters. Hes certainly good...but as for a heisman this year...he just hasnt performed to that level IMO. As for Ingram...IMO the arguement for him should be alot stronger...Id say a serious top 4 or 5 contender at this stage. Helluva kid.

definately a great read, but honestly I'd rather see Ingram continue to perform as amazing as he has and succeed at the next level as well. most heisman winners don't seem to do that.

Historically speaking, that may be true, from I can't think for a minute that winning the Heisman has ANYTHING to do with that, unless it all goes to the winner's heads, which I do not believe Mark would do, nor would CNS allow him to do it. I hope he wins both this year and next, and possibly the year after!

I am definitely not opposed to seeing Ingram rewarded for his efforts on the field. Obviously, as any other Bama fan, I place a lot more stock in winning the crystal football than Bama having a Heisman winner. With that said, I don't see how Ingram winning the Heisman could result in anything but good for this team and future recruiting.

The thing that makes this situation different, is that there was no "Heisman Campaign" from the beginning of the season. Ingram has been thrust into the Heisman race purely on his performance on the field. I certainly wish him the best.
