Is it just me or does it remind you guys of a fungo bat we used to use taking fielding practice.?

I could swear many years back there were some slow pitch softball bats (not wood, obviously) that had a similar shape.

Back when I was in HS my Jr. year I had study hall and then a teachers assistant role for my last two...that lead into practice. It was a PE asst role so I was playing sports and getting credit.

Now, we were using baseball bats for softball games until Coach brought in a softball bat. I could line a drive with the baseball bat...but the fence came into reach with the softball bat. We were playing on the soccer field where the width was right at 70 yards. Add another 14-18 for the fence...it was a shot.

That's his shtick (which is why it's funny [to me]). If it was the Red Sox that did it, he'd have a video talking about how great it is for baseball and it's going to lead Boston into the golden age of multiple WS titles.
