šŸˆ Mississippi State hires Mike Leach

Which is why you don't tweet those things. He gave stupidity a platform.

You say that, but who did this really and truly bother? You're giving stupidity a pass here, and placing blame on a guy "not thinking" and not understanding the South. It's a free country and he can say anything he wants, tone deaf or not, but calling him dumb for "not thinking" is even worse than not acknowledging the other side. The question I would ask, "do you honestly think Mike Leach is cool with lynching black people". In the end, these people just need to move on and understand it was not a racist or tone deaf remark towards blacks. Transferring school? Leach has never been labeled a racist or a guy against blacks, so I'm thinking the guy left because he wasn't cutting the mustard or saw a way out and could make the news because of it. Leach is not in the wrong here.

He's a smart guy. This was a dumb tweet. He apologized. He's already owned this.

I never called him dumb, he's not a stupid person at all. I did suggest he should use his big brain. You need to do a better job quoting me, this isn't the first time 😁

If he felt differently, I believe he would have said something otherwise, he's outspoken right?

And for the record, I found the tweet funny. And it was by no means anything racial or offensive to me, it was funny.

There are some that will not find this funny. Some have an agenda and will create a story from this when there was no story.

I can't speak for those who have decided to transfer, was this the reason? Who knows.

Mike Leach gave stupidity a platform.

Well saying someone isn't using their brain is essentially calling someone dumb. What is a dumb decision? Not using your brain. So they go hand in hand.

He didn't own anything, he simply played the company line, just like Saban when he bite that lady's ear off for trying to get him to put down one of his quarterbacks. Saban isn't dumb, and what he said he meant, same as Leach, so I don't think he truly meant any harm with his post and I don't think he meant his apology. I have also used my wife as a scapegoat to soften my words before as well, like Saban. "Yeah, I'm sorry, my wife chewed me out for saying it as well." And I didn't mean any sort of apology, I meant what I said when I said it.

Mike Leach has a history of standing his ground, no? Maybe he's changed.

Let me ask you this, would you want Nick Saban tweeting this? That's kind how I judge these things for the record, pretend Nick Saban was on social media.

I'm perfectly fine being the only person of this opinion. It's not right or wrong, just my opinion šŸ˜‰

I wouldn't expect that from Saban, he isn't a social media guy. I laugh at a lot folks posts on here from Lane Kiffin, so if it's in a guy's character and I can expect it i'm fine with it. I don't want to see Saban with a mullet like Mike Gundy, but it fits his personality so I enjoy it. Leach has always been known as a guy out in left field, and I find him entertaining and funny. I have never felt him as damaging (still not sure what happened with Craig James' kid at Texas Tech) or hateful in any way, so I did not take his post as hateful in any way. Leach has always spoken his mind, very true. He is with a new employer after all and with this virus potentially hurting his career with the fact he may not be coaching in the Fall because of it it would not surprise me if he walked more of a line. I'm pretty lighthearted when it comes to joking around, so I just don't see it like some others I guess saw it, but I also think social just warriors have nothing better to do in life than stir the pot.

Mike Leach gave stupidity a platform.

Mike Leach gave a plank to the stupidity platform. 40ManMullet is the platform...liberal slanted takedown, but Gundy's a clown by any standard.
