Can't say that there is anything wrong with this move.

Mississippi State football coach Sylvester Croom, believed to be on the hot seat just a year ago, signed a new four-year contract with the school on Friday.

The contract, which calls for a guaranteed salary of $1.7 million in 2008, has been forwarded to the school's interim president, Dr. Vance Watson, and must be approved by the board of trustees.

Well this must be his last year then.

State should do all they can to keep Croom around. It would be great for the SEC if State could become a consistant team.

I know Mr. Croom has been through a lot and has said and done some things he should not have, but I am happy for him and hope he does well. He is a good guy and turning around that hell hole in an honest way is pretty difficult.

He has instilled discipline into the program.

but his West Coast Offense will not cut it in the SEC.

A four year extension was a bit much he lucked himself into three of those wins easily.
