🏀 Miss State @ Alabama today 1:30pm via SEC Network

I still don't see that as a sucker line UNLESS people were betting with emotion versus reason.

If we look back, most of the games between these two teams fall into that +/- 5 points final score.

We were -5 at MSU. We just won on the road at FL and LSU. The line should have been 8 or 9. MSU's leading scorer was out as well. I'm sure the majority of the betting public took the Tide.

@#80 I watched the line from the time it was released until a second or two after tip. If the majority of the betting public took the Tide, the big money bets were on the Bulldogs. There was only a half of a point move in the majority of the books I was watching.

If you happened to have looked at some of the metrics on betting sites, these two teams mirrored each other in a number of categories: both home and away.

IF this game would have opened Bama -9 I'd have been all over the Bulldogs. I suspect most would have done the same. It's all about getting even money on both teams ...

I unfortunately was away and could not catch the game. My understanding was that Alabama played "tight" and did not keep driving to the rim, even with MSU in foul trouble. Why is that Bama fell back on jump shots and heavily relied on the 3 ball so late in the game with State having the hot hand? I would say keep pounding the paint and get the best players out. Ware killed us last game and he had 4 fouls most of the game from what I heard.

Bad loss, but certainly doesn't mean Alabama is out. Just makes the road a lot more difficult and the SECT a lot more important.

On a positive note: it was good to see Hale have a solid game statistically speaking. I'm only looking at what the stat sheet says, but for him to bounce back like that after having bad games against LSU and Florida.

I also don't understand why Retin shoots so poorly at home. This isn't the first game he's missed critical FTs in a tight game at home. Jacksonville State for instance. Even Coleman has had some struggle. What is it with them and then fucking free throws? Maybe it's not enough repetition, but for this to be an ongoing issue throughout the year makes it very frustrating.

We had some guys that just didn't show up. Edwards has no business handling the ball he is a turnover waiting to happen. He is a caught and shoot guy that is it.

That worries me too. Bama lost to Vandy, and they're in the first four out.

If Vandy were the only one we were competing with for a dance slot, they close with Florida away, Ky am UT at home, then aTm. I see them as 1-3 at best in that stretch. While we are not talented enough to take anyone for granted, I see us finishing no worse than 2-2 and maybe 3-1.

TP, I am with you on the improvement. We still aren't great on fundamentals, but we are better than we were a year ago. Biggest change is that now we have a ocncep of what we are trying to do on offense. Better days are coming, and anything good that happens this year is gravy.

After binge watching SEC basketball yesterday, I am confused. I thought I knew what a legal screen looked like, but I saw multiple calls for illegal screens that confounded me, and angered the coahes and players. Several of these were big momentum changers, in our game and in the UK game. As was said on the air, call it consistently and the players and coaches can adjust..

This is all that I ever wanted as a player and as a coach. Kids and coaches want to know up front, "are you going to call it tight or are you gonna let us play?" We don't want to be played like a damn yo-yo! The asshole that called the T on CAJ needs a reality check! Too many zebras think everyone pays to come see them! Sort of wished CAJ had gotten his money's worth on that one though and chewed his ass out!
