🏈 Miss Alabama wears Roll Tide dress for Miss America Pageant

Miss Alabama will wear this custom parade outfit, designed and made by Ann Northington, supporting her state of Alabama in the "Show us your shoes" parade at Miss America. It has a fitted bodice pants jumpsuit that has a full houndstooth oversized float with the Alabama Football National Championship emblem in the center. The float will hang from the back of the car in the parade.The front panels of the float are trimmed out with the all famous "Roll Tide" wording. A sweetheart neckline also trimmed in the black and white houndstooth, has crystal rhinestone straps. With downtown Birmingham's Lyric Theatre in the background, Miss Alabama Chandler Champion shows what she'll wear for the 2013 Miss America Pageant.

(bragging time) My wife was runner up in '97. Her dad is a big barner fan. He would have cut her out of the will and severed her ownership of the tree frams.


I don't know...or much care about pageantry, but it seems that dress, while allowing her to proudly declare her allegiance, is a sign that says, "I have no chance to win, so I am going to have some fun."

I'm going to the shoe parade, the Miss America show was always in Atlantic City (1921) til a few years ago but now it's back and everyone's excited! I'll have to wear a Bama shirt to it and yell ROLL TIDE to her!

Too bad she will probably miss the TAMU game .. 3:30 start time and the parade starts at 5 I think. Takes a while to prep for that stuff.
