| FTBL Mind of Mike: Lincoln Riley and Cowardice

I will be at casino next week.
Thinking. Going to take USCw. Dont trust lsu D. After last year
I would not play the line here. I would play the Over/Under. I think it's 62 or 63 right now...that spells over to me. I'm still wary about touching this game.

I know. Last year compared to this fall. I'd have to look...but I'm thinking USC was hitting the over around 75% of the time their last few games last season. LSU was higher than that. If you take the last five of both teams I'd think you are looking at an 80% over hit.

Different players. BUT, same coaches. I've not really looked at either school ... but, just sayin'.

So, let's see you play the Sportsbook this season and see ...

I've not come to an opinion on this game yet. I am a betting man.
I’ve never looked into it. May venture a try.
Would probably need someone to explain the process.
I guess I trust LSU’s defense over SC’s lack of defense….

Virtual money, everyone starts with 750K.
SEC and top 25 games posted each week.
You play it just like you would at a sports betting casino; spread, total, or money line.

Frankly, if you are a football fan, it's a "learning tool." By the time you get into week six and seven you may have not seen a team play but you know how they are doing. There are games through the week that I might not pay attention to otherwise, but because I'm playing this game I'm watching more football.

Last years games are still up...you can scroll through the weeks and see how it went.

Slowly, but surely, I'm getting the pre-season props finished.

Once you play you are hooked you will love this game. It took me a while before I started playing. Best thing it will show you your ranking in the money. But we also have Pick'em too.
Pickem it about how the SEC school will do during the week.

@Secondand26 I can't give you the exact year without doing a little research. My gut tells me we started having the "Sportsbook" here in 2013, or 2014. I can tell you the software we were running here at the time: vB, 4.X.X before they launched their publishing suite. So, for 10 or 11 years I've been putting lines up and running the game.

It's a very telling game. Last season there were right at 30 people who ended the season with a "profit." A few of them were pure luck. IE: betting everything on a sure Bama win. BUT, there's were a lot who have learned how to play the game, the market. I say the game is "telling," because you can tell who is watching the collegiate football world, versus one team or one conference.

@rick4bama I don't know how I'll do the Pick 'Em's this season. Suicide, was easy with 12 teams and 12 weeks. Now, with the expansion...concept doesn't work unless I can figure out how to modify it a bit.

I was wondering why I didn't see in the pickem.
@Secondand26 you need to go and look in the sportsbook now, because we have the over/under on a few SEC school right now. The deadline is August 29th.
