🏈 Mike Farrell sees a QB heavy SEC in 2022

That's about as high as you could rank him unless you drop Caleb Williams and I guess you can't because of the competition he'll face next season. Is there a defensive back group in the PAC people should be scared of?

I agree, Hooker is going to put some numbers up. I looked at his profile yesterday and had no clue he was so tall. He doesn't look s big from what I recall on TV, but I'll be keeping an eye on him this year as I enjoyed watching him last season.

We don't need for Hooker to improve and become consistent in his passing game. Our game at UT is going to be a struggle. Fact is our away schedule is difficult. Horns, Pigs, Johnny Rebs, Vols and LSU.

I see your concern. However, I fully expect our defense to better this year provided we don't have devastating injuries. Defense travels well & I think our front 7 should be the best in the country.

Have said this off and on for a few years now just to be disappointed. They did improve last year but in NC game could not close the door on the puppies in the last 8 minutes of the 4th qtr. I know one of those issues was a pick six but the other score was not.

I say that to say show me... I am sure some will point to my unrealistic expectations for our D. With this all everything D that UGA was supposed to have, we put up 41 points in the SEC Championship game and I suspect would have done the same in the NC game if a couple of WR's were not injured. With that statement maybe I am making the argument that my expectations are skewed ...

We're still going to have to score 31 each game to be elite. Great defense against really good teams means giving up 17-24 points.

I completely get your cynicism. Heck I hesitated to post my comments because I agree with you on your sentiment. But injuries did pile up for us & when Armour-Davis couldn't play in the NCG all the leg humpers did was throw bombs at his replacement with the hopes their WR beats ours. That eventually happened.

And I am critical of To'o To'o. I am not blown away by him at all. Folks like to say that he lead the teams in tackles but most of those tackles were after a gain. He misses his gaps too.. A lot. I think this is why he stuck around because he didn't grade out very well due to these basic mistakes.
If he can mature, get stronger, & we can keep the injury bug down, I like our chances.
