just curious who's gonna make the trip out to Dallas?

I'll definitely be here...haven't found tickets yet, I'm still trying to work an inside angle w/ the Cowboys (haven't been successful yet)...otherwise I'm buying from a ticket agency before the game outside the stadium.

I'm hoping to make the trip. Trying to get mine with my season tickets!

this.....

I was able to get VT and Clemson games through my season tickets and ATL is a lot closer than Dallas. I figure I should be high enough in the pecking order to do that for this game as well. At least that is what I'm banking on.

**UPDATE***
Got tickets now and am trying to figure out where I'm staying. I think I may have that figured out too, but not sure yet. I will be there. No doubt.

I am planning to take a vacation in Sept. anyway. Plus I have family out there that I can stay with. The only thing I need to look into is tickets. If I can score one,yes ,I'll be there.

cool, I was skiing in Colorado when the damn Cowboys season ticket holders got dibs...pissed my connection is an ER doc who forgot about me.

now I'm stuck purchasing online - will wait til the day of the game and purchase, can't justify $500 a seat for this game....didn't pay that for either of the 2 MNC games.

......which brings up the next point, 2 crystal balls in 3 years (damn, pretty cool to say that, will someone give our coaches a raise and extend Saban til 2020 ) :muahaha:

Right now, it is 200 point minimum to get 2 tickets. (I'm at 123) My other two tickets I get are from the lady that sits beside me and I think she has enough points for 2. So it looks like I will be there, just a question of 4 or 2 tickets at this point.

Being offered the chance to order tickets is not that same thing as actually getting the tickets.

I spoke with the TidePride office today (June 20th) and to date WHO gets the tickets HAS NOT been determined. (This holds true for all the road game orders.) A determination of who gets tickets for all games of interest will be made by the end of next week.

I am sitting in the mid 200 point range FWIW. The TidePride office speculated that I stood a good chance of getting the Michigan tickets but a lesser chance of the other tickets, as the others saw higher demand than did the Michigan game.

That noted, anyone have any suggestions about finding a place to stay while in Texas?

some quick ideas...not sure what everyone's into.

Jerry World is next Texas Rangers stadium (but Rangers are in Cleveland). Six Flags/Hurricane Harbor is close to the stadium as well.
Fort Worth has some cool museums and the rodeo (not sure the schedule though)
Dealey Plaza (http://www.jfk.org/)
Live music/food - Greenville Avenue - Addison has some cools places too
Flying Saucer in Addison - any beer you can think of http://www.beerknurd.com/
Southfork Ranch (for Dallas fans) - its up close to Plano - about 30 miles north of Jerry World.
Fair Park (Cotton Bowl) has some museums around it.

There are a few tollways here in Dallas, believe most don't take change anymore, they just mail you a bill based on your license plate if you don't have a tolltag.
