911 call shows Meyer was rushed to hospital with chest pains after SEC title game

<LI class=email>Florida coach Urban Meyer was rushed to the hospital complaining of chest pains and a tingling sensation in his side on the morning after the SEC championship game, according to a 911 call obtained by ESPN.
Meyer's wife, Shelley placed the 911 call at 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning. She said her husband awoke briefly that morning and tried to get out of bed, but fell to the floor. On the call, Shelley Meyer said he was breathing and had a pulse but would not wake up.

The details of the call contradict statements by the university and Meyer that the coach was admitted to the hospital due to dehydration.

One day after announcing his resignation due to health issues, Meyer said Sunday he will take a leave of absence from coaching after the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1.

Florida has appointed Steve Addazio as the interim coach, however Meyer is optimistic he will be able to return for the start of the 2010 season.

It does not sound like Dehydrations, but at the same same time it does not sound like stress either. One is not usually asleep at 4:30AM if coping with stress severe enough to call 911.

I'll make fun of his stuttering, stammering, whining and general obnoxious demeanor, and his reaction when first exposed to Rammer Jammer in Bryant Denny a few years ago. I'll even make fun of his waffling, but if I had an episode like the one described above and believed it was job related, I'd think about hanging it up.

If I didn't, when I regained consciousness my wife would return me to that state.

RTR,

Tim

First off, his wife says he is on Ambien. I don't know if any of you folks know about that stuff, but its got some serious side affects. Serious sleep walking, depression, temp amnesia, and losing to Bama in the SEC champ game.

Ooops, added that last part, but in all seriousness. that drug Ambien is bad juju.
