The first practice was Saturday. NCAA rules have been changed to allow practice to begin 42 days before the first game, rather than 30. The first game is versus Oklahoma in Dallas.
I am cautiously optimistic about this team, based largely on the improvemnt shown by Randolph, Jacobs and Obasahon in thje second half of the season last year.The news on Engstrom is encouraging as well. With only 9 of our 11 scholarship players eligible to play this year, we will need some injury luck. We also will need for newcomers Hale, Taylor and Keys to contribute early.
