🏈 Men's Basketball Gets SEC Road Win at LSU

The University of Alabama men's basketball team began its Southeastern Conference schedule with a decisive 66-49 victory over LSU on Saturday at the Maravich Center in Baton Rouge, La. JaMychal Green led three Alabama players in double-figures with 14 points while the defense limited LSU to just 37 percent shooting and forced 15 turnovers.

This win combined with Ole Miss losing in Oxford makes me wonder if we have a shot to win the West this year. :shock:

Same thought crossed my mind.

I don't think there is any question why Grant and Saban get along so well.
 
LSU lost 5 of their top 7 players from last year and only added one recruit. Its always good to get a road W, but as someone said above, LSU isn't very good this year.

Great to see Tony Mitchell back in action.
 
We will surprise some teams this season, but 8-8 in conference is about as good as I think it will get. Mississippi State is the clear favorite to win the west and Kentucky will win the conference. I believe that just like us in football, the cats are back in basketball, and this time for real. That's not to say that Coach Grant won't have us at a competitve level in a year or 2. It's just too soon right now.
