šŸ€ Men’s Basketball Downs Clemson on the Road, 51-50

First half: excellent. Great shooting, solid rebounding, good shot selections, nice swing passes, etc..

Second half: hardly any swing passes, more attempts to score in the paint, missed layups, bad post shots, and uncanny turnovers.

Ingram would have helped, but when Bama wanted to push up court and had favorable numbers, they couldn't capitalize. I loved the game plan, but didn't like the execution.
It look like the same old same old. Bama coming out fast and by the time the end of the game slow as a snail. I think Bama new coach has these guys on the right track. But, it a good win away from home too.

The next four are in friendly arenas, starting tomorrow night at Coleman versus Winthrop. While we can't take anyone lightly, we have a real shot at being 10-2 going into conference play.

Clearly there is much work to be done, but I like the improvement from the start of the season. Against Dayton, up there, we led for much of the first half, were down just a little at the half, and got blown away in the second half. Sunday night we did not play as well on offense in the second half as in the first, but we toughed it out and found away to win.

The RPI today has Dayton at #11 and Xavier at #1. Not bad losses.

FWIW: UT Chattanooga ranked #20 ahead of Bama at #22. UTC beat Dayton last week. Duke sits at #19.

Bama's game tonight against Winthrop ought to be lots of fun. Winthrop can really score. They're also 6-2.

@psychojoe The Tide will face Oregon before SEC play. That's a real test. I hope you're right about 10-2.

Chief, that one will be in Birmingham. Hopefully we can have a big crowd at BJCC for it.
