šŸˆ Media picks up on UA vs ND rumors: Byrne says no. Matt Zenitz, AL.com, reporting BYU as another option

Wouldn't mind going to Provo at all for that back drop.
I assume that if it is BYU then it will be in T-Town.
@Tidestalker I understand there's a good chance of this game happening (vs the early ND rumors) and also am hearing Tuscaloosa. I'm not to the point of saying "it's happening," but I will say I'm hearing this from people, other than Zenitz, I trust far more than Zenitz.

Remember the Bama vs BYU John David Phillips game? I thought he was going to be GoodUn

Personally, I remember it more about fans getting excited about Stubbs (seeing his four and five wide sets) and imagining the Bama offense following Florida's style of play.

O terry....take time off...lifes to short...šŸ˜‚
....no wait....need federal tax revenue to pay for reparations.....
Sheeiitt. Time off?

I actually took some time off yesterday—two hours or so—to watch Midway. *** I've been accused of having ADHD...not one to sit around.

*** @It Takes Eleven based on the book And I Was There: Pearl Harbor and Midway Breaking the Secrets. I'm an Ambrose fan...hope this lives up to his work.

A lot of these WWII hardbacks are pricey.

I've probably mentioned it here before, but With the Old Breed by Eugene Sledge is great book. The Pacific used some of Sledge's book and featured him as the mortar crew member. He was one of my biology professors at Montevallo, never knew anything about his war history until well after I'd graduated.

If it's BYU in Tuscaloosa, the cougars will melt.
I remember hearing about the hundreds and hundreds of Gatorade bottles they went through that day. It was the first game after the University had expanded the east side. And good lord, it was HOT that evening.

Good god I remember that season so clearly. The next week I was all ready to head to Birmingham to watch the Tide host Vandy. I couldn't find my tickets anywhere. Come to find out, a girl I'd stopped seeing that fall stole them. I found out when I bought a ticket outside the stadium for the Florida game and found her sitting in my seats.

If I recall correctly BYU ended up with as many (more in five cases) wins that season as six of the eight SEC teams Alabama faced (UF and UT.)

I see that hardback, used, is going for a C-note.

As soon as I saw his picture I recognized him...seems like I've seen him interviewed in a few things.

He kept his notes in his Bible, which was an outright violation of military rules as it could fall into enemy hands. He didn't write the book until many years after the war, and I remember him being interviewed on the Today Show I think for the 50th anniversary of the war's end.

What? Navy, W Michigan and Arkansas haven't been tossed. The ACC hasn't made a decision.

Correct. Wisconsin, Stanford, and USC are the only ND games cancelled at this time. Two home games and one away.
