I have heard and read about the Gus extension this past summer and it reminds me of the summer before Shula got canned. He too received an extension and I wondered what the crap the trust at UA was thinking. Shula was not in demand and no one wanted him........why?

I know you have to play the game so that recruits think that your coach is stable and blah blah blah, but we all know a contract is a useless piece of paper for the most part. Money and lawyers can remedy any contract.

i will say that 2 guys that i work with who are auburn fans are not your typical auburn fans. they know they're not good and don't sugarcoat anything about it. that's why i like them and will readily have a conversation with them about football. they're realists, which is quite refreshing.
