I thought it was interesting to note. According to rivals.com radio talk, a pre-game interview with Coach Saban stated that if GMAC got hurt then McCarren would get the call. If the game was in hand then Jackson comes in. Needless to say, I was little floored when I heard it.

FWIW, this has been the situation since the BYE week. It pissed a lot of people off when the rumor first surfaced, but AJ's been taking 2nd team reps since the Tenn game.

I would bet money that it will be Sims. AJ has an advantage of being involved in Summer Camp and 2009 season, so effectively he has a 6 month advantage. With Sims enrolling next week, and making some strong statements about starting next year, I might rethink that statement.

Whatever the case, we have some serious competition for QB - a very good problem to have.
