🏈 McElroy faces 'Tampa-2' as he looks to rebound

Last week, we saw the team go into a hurry up type of offense but as soon as we did a flag was thrown.

So, that was scraped.

It's something the team has been working on quite a bit lately.

I mention that, because of this point.

It's true what Chase writes about Berry. He's a good safety. UT has a good defensive line, and a good linebacking corps as well.

But, past the first string? It's weak. Weak.

That's going to play to our advantage this weekend. Even if we continually run between the tackles for two and three yard gains early on those will turn into seven and eight yard gains as the day progresses.

Simply put, they don't have the depth.

In all honesty, I might take Arkansas' two's more quickly than UT's two's.

Yeah, Greg SHOULD be able to pick apart that Tampa-2. That's what I'm looking for and of course like Terry said that offensive line and big backs wearing out the front 7. Julio should be able to get some touches against this Tampa-2 imo as well, sit down in a hole between the corner & safety.

With the Mike LB bailing to get deep, I expect alot of throws into the middle of the field about 12-15 yards down field. Look for deep crossing routes from the outside guys and deep curls from the TEs and slots. Greg gets his groove back tomorrow guys.

That's what I expect.

A lot depends on what they do with their safeties in this game. If we have our Y and Z guys running those crossing routes, eventually that's going to leave our X open eventually.

Honestly, the one play I'm sure we'll see, maybe more than once, is a deep post pattern. I just see them collapsing safeties on top of Julio and Maze leaving our Y receiver wide open.

In fact, I'd almost call that a guarantee if we are able to run between the tackles successfully—which I believe we will.

Terry, we are thinking along the same lines. I see us pounding it between the tackles with the safeties(Berry) charging down hard to stop the run. Then we hit a deep one on play action with Julio running the deep dig route with Maze over the top on the deep post from the other side. FSU used to call it the Cadillac route.

I watched some of the UT vs UGA game this week and saw that open a dozen times or more.
