šŸˆ Mayor of College Station jabs Muschamp...she's good!

Texas A&M to be the Poster Child for SEC

The Aggies will play the last 6 National Champions during the regular season (LSU, Auburn, Alabama in divisional play. Florida as cross-divisional).
I don't know if that has ever happend before in the history of the game.

To those who insist that you "must win your conference to play for the title" I would ask this. If the Aggies finished second in the SEC with this schedule, what is the defense that the Sunbelt Conference champ is more deserving of a shot a the national title than Texas A&M?

Further, what is the justification for denying a shot at the title for those teams that join new conferences and are prevented from winning the Conference Title that first year?

I don't know how many of you guys have followed this "spat" that's been going on for about a month now. I'm thinking it might be a carry-over from Boom's time in Austin. After all, how many times in your lifetime have you seen two coaches throwing comments directed at the other when both teams were a mere one game over .500 the preceding year?

A few weeks ago Boom made a comment—or snide remark, you choose—about College Station station asking, "have you ever been there?!?! It'll be the only time you go." It was something along those lines.

Sumlin, a few days later, fired back stating "Muschamp needs to be worried on his own team."

With all the hype surrounding Georgia and their first SEC game being Mizzou I've been thinking that would be the game to highlight in week two. However, if this continues, how can ESPN not pick up the UF vs A&M game? I'm really beginning to look forward to this one.

The smack talk begins with A&M and the Gators - google search results.

(NOTE TO CBS: Once again, you'll be missing an opportunity to highlight a great SEC game on a Saturday afternoon in the fall. Much like your news departments' blind views of the American populous, your sports department has no clue if they continue to think people are really interested in watching tennis instead of football. )
