Not only that, Argo, but LSU has never benefited from a call by the SEC refs:

2009

In 2004, I guess the officials were protecting LSU, right? In the third quarter of a 2004 game in Death Valley, Bama's reciever is obviously pushed down in the endzone by a LSU cornerback but the referees fail to call pass interference. If the penalty had been called, Alabama would have likely scored. As it was, LSU rode the wave of momentum to a 26-10 win.

No crying from the corndogs about that one I guess!

Like Miles and the Tigers have never benefitted from a missed call (or should I rephrase that to "no-call").

I'm still smarting over the mugging our receiver got in the endzone a few years back in Baton Rouge. That one play turned the whole momentum of the game around.

I liked how on a Scott's 34 yard run where he broke his collar bone, they highlighted one of LSU's offense linemen and talked about what a good job he did making a key block.

Problem was it was a tackle........directly in the back. That made me sigh.

Scott? You mean Charles Scott? The "220+ Pound, brUising, Super power, Super human, future NFL, can't be tackled bY one man" running back who left the game after being rode down by two 190 pound corner backs?

That Scott?

this stuff ticks me off. i totally watched an Indiana td get called back to keep Iowa undefeated too. and you know what, if the ticky tack calls did go our way so what. we are the home team. we are the undefeated team. i don't think the refs handed us the game in any way shape or form. we had many many calls this year and this game go against us. but if a couple went our way so what. hey lsu, don't loose to florida in a regular season game and then maybe you get those calls, huh? we are 9-0 because of what we did on the field not what the refs did.

If you dig through all 14 pages of the game thread, you will see I pointed this out when it happened. They immediately started gushing about T-Bob Herbert on that play and the block he made was both a hold and a clip. How was that a "good" block? :bs:

Ya'll, I can't even watch the games on CBS anymore. I could, for a time, turn off the volume and listen to our guys on the stereo while watching the game. Now, you can see the bias because of replays in favor of the team we are playing. In other words, if we make a big play, we will get ours and see a replay, maybe even 2. However, if the other team makes one, we will get to look at it minimum 2 times, and then again around halftime, and once more perhaps heading into the 4th when they pump us up for the final quarter. This is not my paranoia, though much can be placed on my own feelings of inadequacy :D.

The fact is, the University and the Conference are slaves to $$$$ like the rest of us, and CBS sure pays a lot of it. They could allow Sigfried and Roy to call the game, and as long as they are paying mucho $$$$, it won't matter.
