💬 Masters: 2017 Thread

I'm in a pool where you select eight guys total.

-Two from the Top 10 (A-list) (Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas)
-Four from Top 11-50 (B-list) (Phil, Kooooch, Sned, and Kevin Kisner)
-Two from Top 51 through unranked (C-list) (Kevin Na and Lee Westwood)

I took an Alabama boy, Koooch because he's just a solid likeable guy, and Sned because he's a fellow KA. Gotta love Lee Westwood as well, just another solid guy that can play the game of golf, even though the Europeans piss me off come Ryder Cup time.

Hoping I break through. Been beyond a lucky year pool wise for me. Won $1,000 in my college football pick 'em pool and $1,400 in my March Madness pool. I need to keep this lucky train rolling.
 
This is going to be some entertaining golf these first two days. Wind 20-30 mph ... gusts 35 or more. Justin is in a good position today—that wind will not die down a lot throughout the day so there's no advantage one way or another on tee times. He'll get to watch for awhile. Friday's weather will be something to pay attention to...tees off just before 11 on Friday.

It's wet...but it drains. It's Augusta. It's going to take some guys awhile to get used to the fairways being as wet as they are...they won't be used to how the leading edge goes through the turf there. Dollars to donuts we're seeing some chunks today.

Enjoy yourself, and take it all in. As a guy that has been 5-6 times between the age of 16-25, I never embraced exactly where I was and how hard it is to even get within the gates. I had grown up around my family that was from Augusta where my grandfather was all state in baseball and basketball for Richmond Academy, so I was raised by the mystic of Augusta National. It was till my older 20's after a few years of not going that I realized I had had the opportunity to do something 98% of the golf world dreams of but never gets to do. Have fun my friend.
