šŸˆ Mark Ingram remains the perceived Heisman front-runner, but is the gap narrowing?

I have noticed a clear change in the winds this week, with Ingram getting virtually no live while McCoy and Tebow seem to have become the flavor of the moment. :headscratch:

I hate politics.:swear:

mccoy will win the heisman.

Well it all depends on Mark's performance against Florida. If he has a few memorable runs that help take the lead or end up being the game winner, it's as good as his. The same goes for Tebow honestly.

The odds are that both Mark and Tebow will have their normal games and McCoy ends up winning the heisman. I really don't care in the end as long as we get the real hardware.

McCoy will get all votes west of the Mississippi, Ingram will split votes with tebow in the east, so long story short i don't think Ingram will win it. But I hope he does.

Thats right.

Mark needs to paint a picture, on that colors him as that player who the Flroida Gators just could not account for, could not stop. Sadly, we also need to win so that Mark is seen as the element that brought down UF.

I think we shut down Tebow's running, but we need to take the next step and shut down his ability to adapt and overcome that. It is this ability to overcome that will keep Tebow in the race, and thus steel votes from Mark. Tebow has only "career" numbers that are impressive this year. His season has not been as impressive, relative to three other QBs with undefeated seasons at this point.

McCoy has being a senior and not winning one yet in his favor. Its the senior angle that best works for him. I don't thing that west coast voters look at Colt as just-down-the-street relative to Mark, both are figures only seen on TV...which are both located in the voter's livingroom.

In the end, the conference championship games will likely sway the voters.

FWIW, I caught Herbie saying this weekend, that the RB from Stanford was his front runner because... get this... he torched USC. Fact, USC is use to facing throwing teams, and caved to the first decent rushing attack they had seen.

Gerhart had 4 TDs versus Cal but they lost. He had like 25-29 carries for 134 yards. He's on a 3-4 loss team and I don't see him being around. It's a 3 man race in my eyes. McCoy, Tebow, and Ingram. Mark gets 300+ yards the next 2 weeks with 3-4 TDs and he wins the first one for BAMA.

I don't know how the voting breaks down, but I could see McCoy carrying the West. Could Mark possibly carry the North and South? Do enough people in the North know he is from Michigan and not the South????

I don't see Tebow getting the votes unless he pulls out a win in the SECCG. I think the media is hopping aboard the McCoy wagon more so than the Tebow one. The media should be reluctant to give it to a repeat winner that isn't having a banner year.

The next 2 weeks could change the situation, but McCoy and Ingram are tops right now. I don't see how the Stanford RB could still be in it after the Cal loss. Even if he was still in it I'd think he'd get the West and Midwest votes (McCoy's area).

Still a lot to be settled. :a:
