🏈 Mark Ingram Launches His New Foundation to Help Children.

Saints rookie running back Mark Ingram is using his time “off” during the lockout to launch a foundation with a cause that is close to his heart. The Heisman winner wants to help kids that have parents in jail.

“The foundation is something that’s real important to me,” Ingram told WWLTV.com last week at its launch. ”It’s something I’m living, something I’m going through, something my sisters and I have experienced off and on throughout our lives.”

It sure is nice to see so much positive publicity coming from our guys who were drafted recently.

I do find it interesting he's carrying a "burden" for children, much like Coach Saban's charity "Nick's Kids."

It makes me wonder how much Saban and Ingram talked about life as a child...I'm sure it came up during his recruitment and time at Bama. I'd say the Ingram's are truly a great example of an extended family for the Saban's.

Side note: This is a section of the picture taken from Saban's web site. The guy I've "pointed" to looks a lot like John Mark, doesn't he?

We Saints fans are really fired up about Mark coming to New Orleans, and for more than just his ability on the field. 'Course, most of the Saints fans are LSU fans, too, but they recognize a quality person when they see one.
