| CURRENT EVENTS Marijuana Use - Interesting Interview

Every city we've been to does. Smell it pretty often on country roads too though. Not like it would be hard for a cop to know who is using but I think almost everywhere has just stopped policing it. I don't remember it smelling the same back in the 90's.
Atlanta reeks of it. So does Charlotte and DC.
The same can be said of a lot of aromas. :devilish:

I'll pass by people on my bike rides and catch a whiff in the air. Occasionally, driving down the street. It doesn't bother me and on the same end I HATE IT!

Let me use this comparison. It's like someone getting a nice bottle of Merlot, grilling a steak, and then putting ice in the wine and ketchup on the steak.

Look at all those two-packs of cigars sold. So many idiots are wrapping them in things like "Peach Ass flavored Grape." You still recognize the smell of mari ... it's ruined by everything else.

@Krimson The Afghan strains hit state-side in the 70's and early 80's and the guys on the west coast had a field day. All about where you were.

I smell it on the way to work at 5-7am. Many people showing up to work stoned, and that’s just the ones that generate a stench, not the edibles. They say that it’s hard to get ahead these days, but if 20 million people are using every day, and countless others are busy on social media and tick tock for their dopamine highs, someone focused and committed should be able to clean up. That is, until you need employees.

Yeah south alabama was mostly homegrown with some occasionally coming in from Mexico. The drinks and edibles are the way to go imo.

I voluntarily left an executive position a couple years ago for this very reason. You can’t provide a vision, set expectations, hold underlings accountable, implement and enforce best practices, you know, manage, without adequate employees. I couldn’t fire anyone because I had no suitable replacements.

Aaaaaand in a related story, mediocrity is spreading throughout college football because 2nd and 3rd stringers are no where to be found …😉

Seriously though, you can’t raise performance levels in the workplace or on the field if you don’t have a surplus of quality backups.

To your point about widespread drug use, I’ve seen the same in my work settings too. It’s caused by feeling like your options are limited and the hopelessness from the lack of upward mobility. The COL increases has squeezed the most essential workers in our economy. And when they can’t make ends meet, we administrators find out quickly how useless we are to the economy.
