🏈 Marcus Lattimore done for the year

Hate that for the young man.

That said, I found it odd that the worst fear was losing an RB, vice your Senior QB.
"Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier announced Lattimore's status Sunday, saying "our worst fears were realized.""
Lattimore will be back next season, but years of coaching are negated with Garcia being booted.

hate to see him go down, but he was going to get injured sooner or later, spurrier was overusing him . he may of been blocking, but the carries were taking a toll on his legs and making his knees weaker.

While I agree they were loading him with far too many carries, yesterday's injury had NOTHING to do with his carry total. A shot like that can damage something regardless of the workload.

He also tore cartilage which is fairly common with this type of injury but definitely complicates recovery a great deal. I assume this is an ACL but theoretically an MCL is possible also. Cartilage and ligament is a near-worst case scenario. I hope he recovers fully and has a stellar career.
