Although meaningless, and in the arena of 'At least', Bama played Michigan score wise, closer than all of the other teams. Could help in moving to a higher final ranking. FWIW.

I would not question you, sir, because you're pretty damn sharp, but just to make sure we're on the same page, I was referring to the NCAA tournament. SLU lost 95-72. Now, it is possible I'm missing something and if so, please correct me.

No. You should question me; ALL the time. Now you have me questioning myself; a good thing.

There was something that stuck out to me about UM vs SLU and it was an odd number, one less than 10, 7, and it was the only single digit ... I'll see if I can put it together.

I've looked through my history that morning and it involves some 12 or so stat sites I looked at with UM and the tourney. I can't remember what it was: I just know it was there.

One of the "rabbit holes" had to do with shooting, scoring, and percentages. IE: UT gets smacked around by UM and it was the worst 3PT percentage they have had in the tourney: the only game under 40 percent. On the other hand, the team that gave them the fits so far (1st half lead as example) was Bama and UM had their best game from behind the arc: almost 50 percent.

I'm not thinking it revolves around this ... but the more I think, the more confused I am on what I was researching. I suspect it came from an obscure stat; kill ratios. Teams in the tourney that have seven or more consecutive runs where they've held their opponents scoreless on a possession, three times in a row, win 90 percent of their games. So, if you can stop a team three times in a row, and do it seven times in a game, you'll win 9 of 10. I'll have to look at play by play to see if I'm right here...

Between getting Texas and OU confused all week last week, getting something like this mixed up while watching games ... not surprising, AT ALL. I don't forget what I read. I DO forget where, often.

Season ends tonight. Then it's full offseason mode, with the portal open tomorrow. Then it's just tracking skill-based training and summer training until practice starts in October.

Not taking anything away from Michigan but damn have they perfected getting away with moving screens.

Also saw Nimari Burnett haul in a tough rebound. Hate he's playing there but glad he's got a chance to win a title. I loved his defense here.

Hurley's teams have now covered the spread 16 games in a row. If someone would have let their winnings ride, they'd have over three million after last nights cover.

Finally. A friend just sent me a text...someone has mentioned it on another forum today.

With seven minutes remaining in the game TN was down by 29, AZ by 27, Howard by 18, Bama by 10, and SLU by 7. It was a thread on X where they were talking about which team "sweated" Michigan the most.

With seven minutes remaining in the game TN was down by 29, AZ by 27, Howard by 18, Bama by 10, and SLU by 7. It was a thread on X where they were talking about which team "sweated" Michigan the most.

That's a believable explanation. But then again, you probably have so many figures and facts in your head readily available, that mistakes are bound to pop up occasionally.
